Patient Care Skills Assessment Test (SA 231)
Every First and Third Wednesday
Minimum Pre-requisite
Enrolled Nursing Assistant or Allied Health NCTVET Level 3
(At least 2 years experience required).
Objective of Assessment
To determine the level of skills proficiency in Patient Care and knowledge of professional practices to enable a practitioner to perform at an internationally accepted standard.
- Duration of Assessment: 3 Hours
- Assessment Days: First and Third Wednesdays of each month.
- Starting Times: Group A: 7:30am to 10:30am (2-3 persons).
- Starting Times: Group B: 10:30am to 1:30pm (3-4 persons).
- Starting Times: Group C: 2:00pm to 5:00pm (2-3) persons).
N.B. – A minimum of (2-3) persons are required to conduct the assessment.
Assessment Methods
- Multiple Choice Examination (1.5 hrs.)
- Clinical Skills Test – comprised of hand-washing / vital signs and three (3) other selected skills (1.5 hrs.)
Learning Outcomes:
Candidates will be provided with results on their proficiency level and recommendation.
